SPOKANE, Wash. — UPDATE: April 6 at 4 p.m. – Crews have removed the burning car from the road and traffic is once again flowing on I-90, according to WSDOT.

A car on fire is causing traffic jams on I-90 in east Spokane on Sunday afternoon.
According to Washington State Department of Transportation, a car on fire is blocking the right lane of eastbound I-90, near milepost 284 near the Freya on-ramp.
The car fire is causing a medium amount of traffic slowdown.
Drivers in the area should be aware of their surroundings and yield to emergency vehicles.
Officials have not yet provided an estimated time for when the blockage will be removed.
