SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash — Ribby, Otto, Doris, KC and the whole crew at Avista Stadium are back Friday night for the Spokane Indians home opener.
The Indians are taking on the Everett AquaSox at Avista Stadium. The first pitch is 6:34 p.m., and gates open at 5:30 p.m.
There will be player introductions, giveaways, and a fireworks show tonight.
It will also be the first time fans can see the new improvements to the stadium that were done in the off-season.
“The field itself was redone. It’s looking great. It’s the greenest lawn in all of Spokane. I’ll put that guarantee on it. We expanded the dugouts for the players, added new foul poles, padded outfield walls for some player safety, and one thing we are really excited about for player safety are the nets that now stretch the entire way from foul pole to foul pole to stop some of those hard line drives from coming into the stands,” said Kyle Day, General Manager of the Spokane Indians.
There is also a new state-of-the-art Performance Center where players train. It will soon be open for fans to experience during game days.
There are many fun theme nights planned for the 2025 season.
They range from Harry Potter, Star Wars, Storybook Princess, and Bluey will be making an appearance at the ballpark in August.
