SPOKANE, Wash. – After winning back-to-back games to open the first round, the Spokane Chiefs welcomed the Vancouver Giants to Spokane Arena tonight seeking a crushing 3-0 start, but they’d have to do it without forward Andrew Cristall who was suspended for a crosscheck last game.
Spokane would not close out a win, failing to capitalize on a two-man advantage in the final two minutes of regulation.
Assanali Sarkenov and Sam Oremba bagged two assists each, and Saige Weintein and Rasmus Ekstrom scored a goal each.
Regardless of dropping a home game, the Chiefs still have the series advantage 2-1.
Puck drop for Game 4 is tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. in Spokane Arena.
