Soon you will have more camping opportunities at Washington State Park campgrounds.
The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission says beginning March 24, you will be able to make same-day reservations for campsites at all state parks, including those in our area.
Same-day reservations can be booked until 2 p.m. that day.
Washington State Parks says this change only affects campground reservations and does not apply to roofed accommodations, vacation rentals, yurts or day-use facilities like picnic shelters.
First come, first serve camping will still be available for unreserved sites after 2:30 p.m.
Since the same-day reservation pilot program was first launched at three different parks on September of 2023, more than 7,000 same-day reservations have been made. This success led to the rollout of this system to the other 24 state parks.
You can book same-day reservations starting March 24 by clicking this link or calling 1-888-CAMPOUT (1-888-226-7688).
