SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — People living in Spokane Valley now have a new opportunity to weigh in on city projects and initiatives through a community engagement program called “Community Conversations.”
The new series, launched by the Spokane Valley City Council, invites residents to drop in, ask questions, share thoughts, and learn directly from council members and city staff about projects shaping the community.
Topics for the monthly sessions include the city budget, public safety, homelessness, and ongoing construction projects. Tonight’s kickoff meeting will feature updates on the Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
“We have, of course, the new cross-country course, which is under construction. We’re also moving into phase two of Greenacres Park this year, so that’s really exciting for that growing neighborhood,” said Jill Smith, communications manager for the City of Spokane Valley.
The first Community Conversations meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at 5 p.m. at Spokane Valley City Hall, 10210 E. Sprague Ave. Meetings will be held monthly.
City leaders encourage residents not only to attend but to reach out directly to councilmembers. Contact information is available on the City of Spokane Valley’s website.
