SPOKANE, Wash. – With spring just days away, you might be taking the opportunity to refresh your home. As you clean out your closets, consider donating to those in need.
Teen & Kid Closet provides free clothing to children and young adults who may not otherwise have access to new outfits. The organization serves individuals from infancy through age 22, focusing on those in foster care or living in poverty. Last year, the non-profit helped clothe more than 6,000 kids.
“They’re super excited about the outfits they pick out. We have a fitting room, they’re able to go and try things on. So yeah, they leave with a smile,” said Ela Lopez, program administrator.
Donations of brand-new or gently used clothing can be made at the Teen & Kid Closet store on Sprague Avenue on the first Saturday of every month. Items can also be dropped off at First Interstate Bank during business hours.
