BONNER COUNTY, Idaho — A person died in a crash in Sandpoint on Friday, according to Northside Fire District.
Around 10 a.m. on March 14, NSFD and Sandpoint Fire responded to a reported crash near US-95 and Samuels Road.
The caller said the crash was between two vehicles, one of which was a semi-truck.
When crews arrived, they found one person dead at the scene.
Another person was transported to a nearby hospital for their injuries.
Idaho State Police conducted an initial investigation of what caused the crash, but has not yet released details.
“While it is not our role to determine cause or conditions that contribute to traffic accidents, we would urge folks to use more caution on our area highways,” said NSFD in a Facebook post. “Speed, use of cell phones, tire conditions and defensive driving techniques are all things we can control when travelling.”
