PEND ORIELLE COUNTY, Wash. — If you live in the Newport area, you might notice some issues with your cell phone service over the next few days.
According to Pend Oreille County Sheriff’s Office, AT&T will conduct planned maintenance on a local cell tower from March 13 through March 17.
The work could cause AT&T customers to experience reduced coverage or cause their phones to go into SOS mode.
If your phone goes into SOS mode, it means you have lost connection to your network, but can still make 9-1-1 calls.
POCSO said AT&T customers should plan ahead for possible service disruptions and use Wi-Fi when possible.
