CHENEY, Wash. — Police are searching for an item stolen from a child with special needs on their birthday.
According to Cheney Police Department, a swinging egg-shaped chair was stolen from a patio facing Al Ogdon Way sometime the evening of March 8.
The chair is used as a medical aid for a child with autism spectrum disorder.
CPD said the child’s mother is a single parent and that the chair is too expensive to replace.
Multiple other thefts were reported in the same area on Sunday.
“Let’s come together to support each other and help return this important chair to its rightful owner,” said CPD.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the chair should call Crime Check or contact the Cheney Police Department.
