SPOKANE, Wash. — A major construction project to replace a 30-inch water main along N. Freya St. in northeast Spokane will begin Monday, March 10.
According to SpokaneCity.org, the project, expected to last through the summer, includes roadway reconstruction, sidewalk improvements, and stormwater management enhancements. The goal is to improve water distribution and support future development.
Detours will be in place for drivers:
Southbound traffic will detour west at E. Wellesley Ave. to Haven St., then south on N. Market St. to E. Euclid Ave., reconnecting with N. Freya St.Northbound traffic will detour west at E. Euclid Ave. to N. Market St., then north to E. Wellesley Ave., reconnecting with N. Freya St.
Motorists are advised to follow detour signs and drive with caution. Local access will remain for businesses, the U.S. Post Office, and Esmeralda Golf Course.
