AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. — Crews in Airway Heights are working to fix up unexpected spring breakups on roads across the city.
The city says roadways are heaving and breaking up on Craig Road, Lawson, Campbell, King and 12th Street due to the cold and wet weather.
The worst damage is on Craig Road between Highway 2 and 6th Street.
Work includes temporary repairs, digging out the wet and soft material and filling the holes with gravel.
The city says because the asphalt plants have not opened yet for the season, it can’t put in asphalt patches. Paving will be done when the areas dry out.
If you notice any potholes in Airway Heights that need attention, email the city at info@cawh.org to report the problem.
