CHENEY, Wash. — People living in Cheney will soon have access to high-speed internet services through Xfinity and Comcast.
It is part of Comcast’s plan to expand services to developing areas of Spokane County, including Medical Lake and Four Lakes.
Residents in the expanded network area will have access to Xfinity’s internet, video, mobile, voice and home security features. The company says 2,800 homes and businesses will have access to “multi-gigabit Internet speeds, powerful Wi-Fi that reaches every corner of the home, and super-responsive connections with low lag.”
“The City of Cheney looks forward to partnering with Comcast to provide another option for high-speed, reliable, secure internet services for our residents and businesses. We appreciate Comcast’s desire to invest in our wonderful community,” said Mark Schuller, Cheney City Administrator.
