March 4 is Idaho Day, a great opportunity to celebrate the Gem State!
Idaho Day is celebrated on the anniversary of when President Abraham Lincoln created the Idaho Territory in 1863.
In 2014, former Governor Butch Otter signed into a law a bill that annually recognized March 4 as Idaho Day.
It serves as an opportunity to showcase the state’s past, present and future.
It is celebrated by schools, state agencies and other organizations across the state.
