SPOKANE, Wash. – For the 41st time this season, the Spokane Chiefs skate away with another win, beating the Wenatchee Wild 5-1.
This number ties the most Spokane wins in a single season since 2012-13, this season’s team now just five points back from first place in the U.S. Division of the Western Conference in the WHL.
Spokane ends February with a remarkable 10-1-1-1 record for the month.
The Chiefs started the game down 1-0 in the first period, but delighted the sellout crowd with goals from Chase Harrington, Brody Gillespie, Mathis Preston, Smyth Rebman and Berkley Catton.
Catton earned his 100th point of the season, his total WHL points now good for 11th-best in Spokane history.
The Chiefs return to the ice tomorrow night at 6:05 p.m. against the Seattle Thunderbirds.
