SPOKANE, Wash. — The City of Spokane is inviting residents to share their opinions on how to allocate federal grant funds aimed at enhancing safety and mobility around the city center.
In July 2023, Spokane applied for a federal grant under the Safe Streets for All program.
The funds received will be used to implement various safety projects within designated areas around the city center, prioritizing the needs of the community.
City officials are considering a range of potential improvements, including sidewalk infill, the installation of ADA ramps for better accessibility, crosswalk enhancements, bike lane development, and other mobility projects designed to build a safer environment for pedestrians and cyclists alike.
To gather community input, the city has launched a survey to determine where people think these funds should be invested.
The survey is open until Friday, February 28.
