PULLMAN, Wash. – Despite a 30-point lead held against the 1-16 in WCC San Diego Toreros, the Washington State Cougars closed out a senior night win to avoid falling to the No. 8 seed in the incoming WCC tournament.
Dane Erikstrup led the Cougs with 23 points and three rebounds, closely followed by 17 from Ethan Price, plus seven boards.
WSU committed a painful 23 turnovers, allowed a huge 30 points off said giveaways.
The Cougs shot an incredible 71% from two-point range, including an 11-15 mark in the first half from inside the arc.
Washington State returns to action one last time this regular season at the Pepperdine Waves on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. needing a win to have any shot at the No. 6 seed in the WCC tournament.
