SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga Bulldogs dropped their season-opening game against the BYU Cougars 10-2.
The old WCC rivals met for the first time in Spokane since the 2023 season, back then, both teams were in the conference.
Shortstop Ryder Robinson led BYU with three hits, two hits and a home run. Vincent Temesvary and Mikey Bell each had an RBI double for the Zags.
Gonzaga returns to the mound tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. for game two against BYU.
