COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) for Kootenai County has issued a statement regarding Saturdays’ town hall meeting in which a woman was forcibly removed.
According to the statement, “The Board of County Commissioners has no association with what occurred over the weekend. The elected officials are accountable to county voters and are not subject to BOCC directives. There is an ongoing investigation as to the events from this past weekend and until that is finalized the BOCC has no comment. We ask that people consider allowing for the investigation to finish before drawing conclusions.”
The Coeur d’Alene Police Chief is recommending that the Prosecutor’s Office drop a battery charge against Dr. Teresa Borrenpohl.
Kootenai County Sheriff Robert Norris was in attendance of the event and was witnessed recording Borrenpohl being dragged out by hired security agency, Lear Asset Management.
