SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Drivers in southern Spokane County should be prepared for multiple road closures due to flooding on Monday morning.
According to the National Weather Service, roads in the Valleyford area were flooded with water on Sunday evening.
NWS said at least one homeowner was spotted kayaking through the water trying to salvage some of their property. Flooding is expected to continue in the area.
People in the Latah and Hangman areas should also expect flooding and road closures to affect their Monday morning commute.
Rain and snowmelt caused flooding and mudslides across the Inland Northwest on Sunday, prompting multiple road closures.
This is a developing story.
