SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — The Liberty Lake Police Department released the name of the officer who shot a man in Otis Orchards in December 2024.
According to Liberty Lake PD, Corporal Darin Powers shot a man who was hitting and throwing rocks at vehicles in the area of North Malvern Road and East Wellesley Avenue.
The Spokane Independent Investigative Response Team (SIIR Team) has completed its investigation, and the case is now with the Spokane County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.
Additional details may be released by the Liberty Lake Police Department after the review is complete.
