STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — A woman died in a car crash south of Colville on Tuesday evening, according to Washington State Patrol.
Around 5 p.m. on February 18, WSP responded to a report of a crash on Highway 395, 15 miles south of Colville.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a car in a ditch and a semi-truck on the shoulder.
According to WSP, the car was driving north on Highway 395 near Addy Gifford Road when it crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a semi-truck driving southbound.
The driver of the car, 49-year-old Denya Wilkins of Deer Park, died at the scene. WSP said she was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver of the semi was uninjured.
WSP said the cause of the crash is under investigation.
