LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — As temperatures drop, staying active outdoors becomes a challenge. But at Hub Sports Center, athletes of all ages can keep moving with sports classes, clinics, and pickleball courts.
For just $5, kids can join Futsal Friday, where they can sharpen their soccer skills and enjoy friendly competition. Executive Director Phil Champlin emphasized the importance of sports in child development.
“So the more opportunities we can provide for kids to be active and in motion, the better off they’re going to be mentally, emotionally, physically. The better off they’re going to be moving forward later in life,” Champlin said.
Looking ahead, Hub Sports Center will host its annual Crab Feed Fundraiser on March 1 at the Spokane County Fairgrounds. Proceeds will help keep its programs and clinics accessible at little to no cost.
