SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane residents are reminded that on Monday, Feb. 17, on-street parking meters and kiosks will not require payment due to the Presidents’ Day holiday. However, parking rules, including time limits, will still be enforced.
Garbage and recycling pickup will continue on its normal schedule.
The Waste to Energy Facility will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, accepting trash, recycling, yard waste, and hazardous household chemicals.
Spokane City Hall, including Spokane 311 and the Development Services Center, will remain open.
The Spokane City Council has canceled its agenda review and legislative meetings for Feb. 17. Council meetings will resume on Feb. 24 with a 3:30 p.m. agenda review and a 6 p.m. legislative meeting.
These meetings will be broadcast live on CityCable 5, streamed on Facebook, and available on the City’s website. Residents can sign up online to provide testimony on agenda items.
In Riverfront Park, the Numerica Skate Ribbon and Looff Carrousel will be open on Presidents’ Day. For more details, check the City’s website.
Spokane Public Library branches will be closed, and Spokane Municipal Court and Community Justice Services will be available by phone only on Feb. 17.
