SPOKANE, Wash. — Two people were displaced when multiple RVs caught fire on East Rich Avenue last week.
According to the Spokane Fire Department (SFD), firefighters saw a large column of smoke, reports of explosions and concerns that victims might still be inside.
Two RVs in the backyard of the property were fully engulfed in flames, with the fire threatening the nearby home.
Firefighters put out the fire before it could spread to the house and found out everyone inside the RVs evacuated safely.
SFD said both RVs were being used as permanent homes and were completely destroyed.
Fire investigators said the fire was most likely caused by either a wood stove or extension cords that supplied electricity to the RVs.
The Red Cross was called to help the two people displaced by the fire.
