CHENEY, Wash. — The Cheney Police Department investigated a reported suspicious package at Sutton Park Monday morning.
According to Eastern Washington University Police, a suspicious package was located at the park.
Police say the package had a semblance of a device and the public was asked to stay at least 300 feet back from the scene.
Spokane County bomb squad responded but the device was determined to be a large confetti cannon similar to ones used in gender reveal parties.
The scene has cleared.
