SPOKANE, Wash. — A house fire broke out in Northwest Spokane on Monday afternoon.
Fire crews responded to a house fire near North Belt Street and York Avenue around 3:30 p.m. on February 3.
According to Spokane Fire Department, the residents of the house, two children and an adult, were outside the home when fire crews arrived.
Firefighters knocked down the flames and the adult resident was transported to the hospital. The fire caused extensive damage to the first floor of the house, and minimal damage to the second floor.
SFD said pets were at home when the fire started, but it’s unclear what happened to them during the fire.
Firefighters said they are still investigating what caused the fire.
