SPOKANE, Wash. — Ferris High School was placed into secure and teach while law enforcement investigated an online threat.
According to Ferris Principal John O’Dell, the school was made aware of online threats Wednesday morning and notified the Spokane Police Department.
SPD arrived and safely removed the student from close.
The school was in secure and teach, meaning exterior doors are locked but classes operate as normal, for 30 minutes.
Spokane Police says the incident is being investigated as a mental health crisis instead of criminal.
