KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — A man was arrested after threatening a woman with a firearm in Hayden on Wednesday, according to Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 11:00 a.m., on January 28, deputies responded to the Prairie Shopping Center for a reported assault with a firearm.
The victim, who fled the scene, was able to provide a description of the male suspect.
Deputies were able to identify the suspect as 64-year-old Douglas Smith.
Smith was arrested on his outstanding warrant for failure to register as a sex offender and is currently in custody at the Kootenai County Jail.
