COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — It was a busy year for firefighters in Coeur d’Alene!
The Coeur d’Alene Fire Department released its year-in-review summary which showed firefighters responded 10,591 calls for service in 2024.
CDA Fire says that’s a 5.7% increase from 2023 and a 35% increase from 2014.
The busiest station last year for CDA Fire was Station #2 on Ramsey Road which had 7,129 responses between their fire and EMS.
CDA Fire says 38% of all their responses in 2024 involved Station #2.
In total, EMS accounted for 74% of service calls but structure fire calls did increase last year.
According to CDA Fire, crews responded to 91 calls for structure fires with 35 confirmed.
CDA Fire says six firefighters responded to more than 1,000 calls each.
