ADAMS COUNTY, Wash. — Two men were found dead at Sprague Lake on Saturday night, according to Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 5 a.m. on January 11, 61-year-old Rock Dwayne Bass and 69-year-old Gary Thomas Myers left to hunt ducks near Sprague Lake, about a 45-minute drive south of Spokane.
They were expected to return around 5 p.m., but did not come home.
According to ACSO, their last known communication was around 1:44 p.m., showing their position in the water.
Their family and friends were unable to reach them, prompting a ground, air and water search.
Around 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, both men were found dead.
“Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Mr. Bass and Mr. Myers during this incredibly difficult time. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to everyone affected by this loss,” posted ACSO on their Facebook page.
