LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — A man was hit by a car and killed Sunday evening in Liberty Lake.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to Tschirley Road near Dalton Avenue where a person was performing CPR on an individual.
Deputies say a man was driving north on Tschirley around 5:30 p.m. The man told law enforcement he was looking at a parked vehicle protruding into the road when he hit the pedestrian.
SCSO says the pedestrian had just made a delivery and the car protruding was his.
The driver stooped and began CPR until first responders arrived, but the pedestrian died at the scene.
SCSO says drugs and/or alcohol were not suspected factors and the driver was released without charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
