SPOKANE, Wash – A man who was shot and killed by Spokane Police over the weekend died from multiple gunshot wounds.
The Spokane County Medical Examiner says Joshua Musselman, 29, was the victim of homicide.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the deadly use of force.
According to Spokane Police, at approximately 4:30 p.m., they responded to reports of a man pointing and firing what appeared to be a rifle from his apartment.
Four officers fired shots and Musselman died at the scene.
The officers were wearing body cameras, which will be reviewed as part of the investigation.
4 News Now reported on Musselman earlier this year, when police say he tried to steal an ambulance in downtown Spokane.
Court records show he was found guilty of criminal mischief and sentenced to 121 days in jail.
