MEAD, Wash. — Nearly 1,000 people were without power Monday morning due to a power pole catching fire.
According to Avista, people living along Farwell Road between Highway 395 and Fairview Road lost power around 2 a.m.
Avista says a pole fire caused the outage. Power was restored for most around 8:30 a.m.
