SPOKANE, Wash. — A man was fatally shot by Spokane Police on Sunday evening.
Around 5 p.m. on December 29, multiple law enforcement agencies, including Spokane Fire and SWAT surrounded the Northcliff Terrace Apartments in south Garland District.
According to an officer at the scene, SPD responded to a neighbor’s call about gunshots in a nearby apartment.
SPD said when they arrived, four officers fired their guns with at least one shot hitting and injuring the suspect.
All people in the adjoining apartments were safely evacuated.
Around 7:10 p.m., SPD reported the suspect died from his injuries.
No information as to what led to shots being fired have been released.
