COLFAX, Wash. — A person was issued a citation after crashing their car into a school fence in Colfax on Tuesday.
According to Whitman County Sheriff’s Office, a white car crashed into the chain link fence along Morton Street behind Leonard M. Jennings Elementary and then left the scene.
Deputies said the car was driving northbound on Morton Street when it hit the fence, causing damage to both the fence and the car.
Parts of the car were found near the fence.
After a brief investigation, deputies found the car at a home in Colfax and issued the driver a hit-and-run citation.
