SPOKANE, Wash. – This year, step back into the early 1900s and celebrate the holidays with the Campbell family at the historic Campbell House in Browne’s Addition.
Beginning this Thursday, the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture (MAC) will open the doors of this iconic home, originally built in 1898 by renowned Spokane architect Kirtland K. Cutter, for its annual holiday celebration. The museum has preserved the home and transformed it into a festive holiday experience.
Visitors can interact with living history actors portraying members of the Campbell family as they prepare for Christmas Day.
“It’s very busy around here; it’s joyful though too. People come from all over the world to visit us, and Mrs. Campbell couldn’t be happier. She opens our home every year,” said Patrick Treadway, portraying Mr. Campbell.
Guests can explore the home at their own pace, enjoying the Christmas tree, seasonal decorations, live piano music, a scavenger hunt, and activities on the sun porch.
The Campbell House Holidays run from this Thursday through Sunday, and admission is included with your ticket to the Museum of Arts and Culture.
