PULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State men’s basketball team will have to finish the season without key pieces to their squad.
Starting guard Cedric Coward will miss the remainder of the season after getting shoulder surgery in Los Angeles, according to head coach David Riley.
“He’ll be out the rest of the season, four to six months,” said Riley.
Coward led all-scorers with 17.7 points before his injury.
Riley said Marcus Wilson also got shoulder surgery and will be out the same timeline. Rihards Vavers is also out for an extended time. According to Riley, Vavers broke “bones in each hand”.
