COLVILLE, Wash. — A 60-year-old Colville woman is one of 39 people being pardoned by President Biden.
According to the White House, Rosetta Jean Davis pled guilty to non-violent drug offenses.
Based on federal records, Davis was initially charged with 10 counts related to meth distribution and conspiracy in 2003. A distribution charge was eventually dismissed.
Davis entered a plea agreement and was sentenced to two years of probation.
The White House says Davis served her time and has maintained employment while also working as a peer counselor to those struggling with substance abuse.
In addition to 39 pardons, President Biden issued 1,499 commutations in the largest single-day act of clemency, according to the AP.
