SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Some local organizations are, once again, teaming up to make sure Spokane families have what they need this Christmas.
For over 70 years, The Christmas Bureau has provided families throughout the Greater Spokane area with assistance to buy food and gifts over the holiday season.
Through the program, eligible households can receive a grocery voucher, as well as one toy per each child in the home, age 17 and younger, and an age-appropriate book for each child, age 15 and younger.
The annual program is coordinated by Volunteers of America, Catholic Charities Eastern Washington and the Spokesman-Review.

To receive assistance, interested families must attend an in-person registration event at Spokane County Fair and Expo Center (404 N. Havana St.) during one of the following times (Please note families without children are still eligible to receive a grocery voucher.):
December 12, 13 & 14: From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. December 16, 17 & 18: From 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. December 19: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (Registration is closed on Sunday, December 15)
To be eligible for assistance, you must reside in one of the following Washington or Idaho counties:

Required Documents:
Adults (18 years and older) interested in receiving a grocery voucher must present a photo ID and proof of current address for each adult in the household (Examples of valid proof of address: bills, rental agreement) To receive toys for children (ages 17 and younger), documentation must prove each child’s name, date of birth and/or age (Examples of valid documents include: birth certificate, insurance card, letter from school, DSHS or day care, WA Apple Health statement or WIC letter)
