POST FALLS, Idaho — The City of Post Falls announced that Councilor Josh Walker has resigned from his position, effective November 30, 2024, due to a career change that will prevent him from continuing his service.
Walker, who has served in Seat 2 since January 2022, expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve and the relationships built during his tenure.
“It has been an absolute privilege and honor to serve the citizens of our great city and community for the last 3 years. I will forever cherish the experience, and the friendships made along the way,” said Walker.
Mayor Jacobson expressed regret at losing Walker, especially following Councilor Shove’s recent resignation.
“We are saddened to lose Councilor Walker, especially on the heels of Councilor Shove moving out of the city. I thank Josh for his service and contributions to our community. We wish him, and his family, all the best in this next phase of their lives,” said Jacobson.
The City Council will hold a special meeting on November 26, 2024, to select a replacement for Seat 6, and is accepting applications for Walker’s Seat 2 until November 27, 2024.
Applicants for Seat 6 do not need to reapply.
