EPHRATA, Wash. — Police have arrested a juvenile suspect of posting shooting threats at Ephrata High School.
According to Ephrata police, the threats were made after a fight between two students November 12. The threats were posted on social media and involved a firearm, the school and specific students.
The Ephrata Police Department investigated the threats and arrested the juvenile for making felony threats. The child has been released to their parents.
Ephrata Police says that juvenile is not suspected of making threats Thursday night on social media toward Ephrata High School, Ephrata Middle School, and Parkway Elementary School. Those threats forced the closure of the district Friday and are still under investigation.
Ephrata Police says it will share more infor as it becomes available.
