SPOKANE, Wash. — If you’re looking for something to do with those old jeans and thrifted t-shirts, you might be in luck on Monday evening.
The Spokane Public Library is hosting an Upcycle Fashion Lab for middle and high school students on October 28 from 3:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Expert sewers from Spokane Zero Waste‘s Mend-It Cafe will guide pre-teens and teens as they turn old and thrifted items into new fashions using scissors and sewing machines.
Spokane Zero Waste will provide all necessary materials, but attendees are invited to bring their own garments to upcycle.
The workshop will take place at the Shadle Park Studio at the Spokane Public Library at 2111 West Wellesley Avenue.
