SPOKANE, Wash. — Two people with outstanding warrants were arrested after they were caught on surveillance video leaving the scene of a potential burglary.
Spokane Police said calls came in Tuesday morning about a possible burglary on South Howard Street. Security staff said they found an open window at the back of the building and signs that someone had been in the building.
38-year-old Caleb L. Morrow and 20-year-old Bailey Bancroft were caught on camera leaving the building and were detained by officers.
SPD said Morrow had an outstanding warrant in Cheney and was a previously convicted felon. SPD said he also had a white powder on his clothing. After a search, officers found drugs, cash and a loaded gun on Morrow.
Morrow was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail for trespassing, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of drugs with intent to distribute.
SPD said Bancroft was also taken into custody for an outstanding felony warrant from the Department of Corrections and trespassing.
