LIBERTY LAKE, Wash. — The Liberty Lake Police Department is investigating multiple recent thefts in the city. So, the department is offering tips on how you can avoid falling victim.
Police say setting up a routine to make sure your personal property is locked up at night or while leaving the home during the day can help.
In addition, LLPD says criminals don’t discriminate by age so make sure children’s toys and property are secured after playtime.
Also make sure personal property is removed from vehicles or out of sight. LLPD says thieves are less likely to try to get into a locked vehicle and one without visible property. It’s also recommended to keep garage door openers on keychains so they can’t be left behind.
With the upcoming holiday season, police recommend scheduling package deliveries to occur when you know you’ll be home or have a neighbor pick them up.
It’s also recommended you get motion activated lights and cameras for your driveway and entryway.
