PEND OREILLE COUNTY, Wash. — Department of Transportation crews woke up to a bad surprise Friday morning.
WSDOT had hoped to finish repaving a stretch of Highway 20 but discovered their front loader had a smashed windshield.
Crews replaced deteriorated wood on the 90-year-old Lost Creek Bridge about five miles south of Tiger.
WSDOT says they now have to first replace the window before resuming the planned construction. It’s unclear how long the delay will last.
