SPOKANE, Wash – Spokane’s golf courses are getting an upgrade this off-season, first with bunker replacements at Indian Canyon and now cart path improvements at Downriver.
The Spokane Park Board will vote on a bid this week for phase one of cart path improvements at the course in northwest Spokane.
The bid for $292,000 covers the removal, regrading and replacement of asphalt cart paths surrounding the clubhouse, practice area and upper portions of holes one and 10.
Pictures in the park board agenda show cracked and crooked paths.
The agenda shows the work would be completed in two phases with phase one being completed by November 2024 and phase two finishing in May 2025.
The city is already making improvements at Indian Canyon Golf Course to renovate the bunkers.
The Spokane Park Board agenda shows golf has brought in $6.3 million this year, outpacing expenses by nearly $2 million.
