POST FALLS, Idaho — The $1.8 million Spokane Street Rehabilitation Project in Post Falls is getting ready for the next stage of the project on Tuesday.
According to the city, northbound lanes of Nort Spokane Street will reopen to traffic starting Tuesday. Southbound construction will also begin Tuesday, and southbound traffic will be detoured to Henry Street.
Asphalt patching on Spokane Street from I-90 to Seltice Way will begin as early as Wednesday and last about one week. This will cause temporary lane closures on Spokane Street and a temporary closure of the I-90 eastbound off-ramp.
The city said it is working with the Idaho Transportation Department to finalize the schedule for the off-ramp closure.
The Centennial Trail Crossing on Spokane Street will be accessible, with little impact expected during construction.
Access to businesses on Spokane Street will remain open during the construction.
Completion of the construction on the southbound lanes is expected by the end of the month.
