EPHRATA, Wash. — A woman was severely injured by six dogs in an attack in Ephrata Tuesday morning.
According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, a neighbor heard the victim screaming for help on Road 10-Northwest near Road H-Northwest around 7 a.m.
Deputies said the neighbor drove the 67-year-old woman home after the attack where EMTs responded.
The woman was taken to an area hospital with extensive severe injuries. Her current status is unknown.
GCSO says the dogs’ owner surrendered them to Animal Control Officers and the dogs are on a 10-day hold at Grant County Animal Outreach. GCSO describes the dogs as pitbull or pitbull-mix breeds.
