SPOKANE, Wash. — The Inland Northwest Vietnam Veterans Memorial pays tribute to 16 service members from the region who were listed as missing in action during the Vietnam War. Since the war, the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency has made progress in resolving several cases, bringing closure to families and communities
Today, the Air Force Sergeants Association, SERE Association, and the 336th Training Group will hold a program at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Riverfront Park. Following the ceremony, participants started a 24-hour ruck march to Fairchild Air Force Base’s main gate.
This recognition is part of the observance of National Prisoners of War and Missing in Action Day, a time to honor those who sacrificed for their country.
The official recognition of Prisoners of War and Missing in Action Day takes place Friday.
