SPOKANE, Wash. — Some stores in River Park Square shopping mall were evacuated on Tuesday evening, according to Spokane Fire Department.
Around 6:15 p.m. on August 20, multiple fire engines responded to River Park Square in downtown Spokane for calls about haze in the building.
SFD evacuated the lower level stores and investigated the issue.
Firefighters found the haze was due to an overheated HVAC unit at the Pottery Barn.
SFD concluded the building was safe and ended the evacuation around 7 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
